Every year, Oceanearth offers the basic training required to become Open Water recreational divers. Some students choose to pursue advanced coursework leading to certification as AAUS Scientific Divers in Training. Certified Scientific Divers may be extended reciprocity by other institutions, allowing participation in various maritime related Field Schools and underwater research projects.
